Oracle Figure Sculpting This is a unique sculpture class hosted by Hilary Green that offers a chance to slow down, consider form, body language and what expressions align with your own values. In this class we will: - relax into the space with a guided meditation and breath - have time to look at imagery and words and find out what body language or values we are drawn to - observe a technical demonstration of figure form sculpting as a guide with extra techniques to try for the details - over 1 hour sculpting time with guidance by Hilary - have a break with snacks and drinks - pull an oracle card each - create one final sculpture with 1 kg of clay (option to create more than at $30 per kg) Your finished piece will be fired and glazed for you. There will be very special glazes for this class only including Bronze, Coral and Opal glazes. Oracles in mythology were people who offered magical guidance for the future. The sculpture/s you create can possibly also provide a sense of hope or simply a reminder of the way of being you want to stay true to. Your sculpture may be restful, powerful, playful, amused, curious... in this class we take a moment of reflection to consider what traits we love about ourselves and want to bring our into the sculpture too. Having a beautifully tended to figure in your home is a very special piece and especially when the time spent sculpting it allowed you to reflect on what matters most as well.
