August Creative Spirit Sculpture Course!

Service Description

This is a rare opportunity to join Hilary Green in her studio for 5 Sunday sessions in August to inspire your creative spirit and develop your own creative practice with clay. This is the perfect course for you if: - You have some basic experience with clay but want to find your style -You have experienced one of Hilary's classes previously and want to continue your practice more deeply. - You want the guidance to take your unique sculpture from start to finish Hilary will guide you to Session 1 ~ Welcome, Sculptural Play, Mark Making and inspiration discussion on finding your style. Sunday 3rd August 4 pm - 7pm Session 2 ~ Intro Glaze Application/Creating glaze tests/ Sculpting time Sunday 10 August 4pm - 7pm Session 3 ~ Sculpting Time / Mentoring Check in Sunday 17th August 4pm - 7pm Session 4 ~ Final Sculpting Time / Glazing / Mentoring Check in Sunday 24th August 4pm - 7pm Session 5 ~ Glazing Reflection and Celebration Sunday 31st August 4pm - 7pm This course includes: - 5 x 3 hour session with Hilary at Shell Space Brunswick - Freedom to create your sculptures of choice eg candelabra/ vessel/ tableware/ abstract sculpture and be guided by an artist - Understanding of materials - Demonstration of sculpture techniques ~ Piece building, Coiling, Organic Mark making - Guidance of function if creating a vessel/ candelabra/ raised bowl - Access to tools and studio resources - 5 kg clay and firing included - Access to a range of rare glazes - Option to purchase more clay to create more sculptures - Glaze Application demonstrations and advice - Discussions on sculpture, creative mindset and creative spirit needs - Finished work glazed and available to pick up 3 weeks after course ends. This is an intimate guided sculpture course that allows you freedom to explore your own creativity and learning process. You will be mentored along the way with caring reflection questions for yourself and guided demonstrations of techniques. The aim of this course is for you to finish feeling more inspired by understanding YOUR OWN personal creative process.
